Our Story

After Graduating with a Masters in Divinity from Covenant Theological Seminary in St. Louis, and having been confirmed in a call to plant a church in a small community in Georgia, Wade and Jill Miller clearly sensed God leading them to Griffin. With a keen interest in smaller communities, and with excitement and anticipation, they moved here in 2012.
By the spring of 2013 a local group of 20 individuals were meeting in the home of Wade and Jill with the goal of starting another gospel-centered, grace-driven church in Griffin/Spalding County. After planning and praying for several months we began worship services in August of 2013 at Safehouse Coffee in downtown Griffin.
While we are still a young church, we are not new in our beliefs and practices. Community Church Griffin is connected to the church regionally and nationally. We are a member congregation of the Presbyterian Church in America, and this connection provides us with partnership in mission, accountability, and support.
